Claire Panton Sanga, Case Manager, is from Minneapolis. She graduated magna cum laude from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa, with majors in Anthropology and French, and minors in International Studies and Psychology.
She was honored as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Ms. Sanga joined the Borene Law Firm in 1993. She has more than 15 years experience working on a wide variety of immigration projects for people from more than 50 countries. In 1996, Ms. Sanga lived in Cameroon, where she studied and conducted research on raising children in a rural village. She has also studied in Nepal and Thailand where she explored economic development issues. She is conversant in French.
In 2006, Claire Sanga and her husband helped to establish a secondary school in the rural village of Magulilwa, Tanzania. In a country where most children do not have the opportunity to continue their education beyond primary school, Magulilwa Secondary School provides an opportunity for young people to transform their lives and those of their communities. They continue to help manage the school from their home in Minneapolis.
